Giving Tuesday - Urgent Need! New Shoes for School.

Children in Ethiopia have just started back to school this week and concerned parents have been coming to request shoes for their kids.

We have typically brought hockey bags full of high quality, nearly new shoes on our trips, however, with Covid-19 travel restrictions, many of these usual essentials are not available. Our families continue to feel the impact of the pandemic and are struggling with any additional expenses, while their children continue to grow (and outgrow things!).  So, our plan is to purchase every child a pair of new shoes right away and due to the immediacy of this need, we will be purchasing shoes in Ethiopia. We have 200 children we will need to buy for.
