Thank you - 200 Pairs of NEW SHOES for School!

OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW - shoes that is!!

Thank you to everyone who gave towards the purchase of much needed children's shoes and socks for school!  The excitement was palpable as we loaded 200 kids onto the bus (at separate times) and brought them into town, to a shoe store so that they could be fitted and pick out which style of shoe they would like to have.  The excitement grew a few weeks later when all of the shoes were delivered to our Youth Empowerment Compound and it was time to match orders and disperse them to the children.  It was so much fun!

The streets in Korah are rough and quality shoes are a great need.  As you can see from a few of our photos: before delivery, many children were wearing cheap plastic clogs, worn out and broken shoes, or ones with holes cut out for growing feet. 

But, not anymore! And in response, these photos speak for themselves…
