New Kiddos - First Day of Daycare

A few weeks ago, the children from our new families had their first day at the HFK daycare.

They received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from our staff and the current daycare children. The children sang and danced together, shared a snack, and participated in several fun sensory activities. The new moms also had the opportunity to observe and take part in these activities, witnessing their children join in on the fun! All the previous daycare children wore colourful hats that said “welcome”, while the new children were given hats that said “thank you”. It was especially sweet to watch the current daycare kids approach each new child and give them a colourful paper flower as a welcome gift.

The photos below really capture the wonder in the eyes of the children. This is the first time many of them have ever taken part in any learning environment or organized play group. What a joy that these young minds have such a special place to explore, grow, and connect!
