You might remember that a couple of years ago, a group of our HFK youth came together to create the Kindness Club. Their desire to give back and better their community through acts of kindness is so inspiring.
They recently organized a large event for some of the most vulnerable members of the community of Korah, including the elderly and individuals with disabilities. The theme was based on Matthew 25:40 where it talks about serving “the least of these.” The Kindness Club wanted those in attendance to know that they were seen, valued, and not forgotten.
They put on various fundraisers to raise money to purchase a beef cow and other traditional food items for a large feast. After serving the 65 attendees dinner and coffee, they lit up everyone’s faces with music and dancing. Some of the young people also presented their artwork and poetry.
Seeing the community gather to eat and laugh and dance together was such a beautiful thing.
Below are some amazing photos and video footage captured that day!
