Elders Christmas Community Celebration

Last week, just before Ethiopian Christmas, we gathered for a special Elders' Christmas Community Celebration at our Elders' Home.

We were joined by 30-40 elders from the community, along with those who live with us. Our wonderful Kindness Club members helped make the day even more memorable by serving traditional Ethiopian bread and hosting a beautiful coffee ceremony.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, each of our guests received 4 litres of oil and a big bag of groceries for their own families' Christmas dinner celebrations. A special thank you to the Senior's Group from New Life Church in Abbotsford, BC, for paying it forward at their luncheon in Canada and raising over $1000 to support this event. Your kindness made a tremendous difference!
