Watch this touching interview with Gebray as he shares a passionate message to all those who have supported the Elders' Home!
Gebray lives in our Elders' Leprosy Home. To him it is a palace when compared to where he used to live. The stigma and amount of suffering experienced by those living with leprosy is great. Many landlords will not rent their homes to our elders. These men have spent their lives being ostracized, persecuted and feared because of their disease and it continues on to this day. Some hesitate to leave the confines of our home, due to past trauma and the horrible ways they have been mistreated. Most have lost everything they once held dear.
Without the HFK Elders' Home, these men would be still living in squalor and some not even alive due to their complicated health issues. With God's help, this home has become a true refuge and their only hope. Many who who have visited the elders, say their visit was a highlight of their trip. This is because their immense gratitude to God and to every person who comes alongside to love and support them is evident the moment you walk in the door!
Please consider touching the lives of these deserving gentlemen. They truly need us to come together on their behalf.
If we don't, who else will?
