Zenash is a confident and sociable young woman with many talents, now working towards a diploma in Marketing.
Her family joined Hope for Korah three years ago during a time of great hardship. Zenash's mother, who grew up in the countryside, endured a traumatic childhood and struggled to provide regular meals for Zenash and her two siblings. Since joining HFK's Economic Empowerment Program, she has found hope and healing and recently became a member of HFK's Basket Weaver's Cooperative.
Through HFK, Zenash had access to after-school tutoring and participate in various youth programs and activities, including the HFK Girl's Team and the summer Life Skills Training camp. She has shown strong leadership qualities and explored her creativity through clothing design, completing a short course in this field. Zenash also has a passion for music, serving as a choir leader at her church on weekends. At home, she helps with cooking and cleaning, always maintaining a positive attitude. When asked about her motivation for higher education, Zenash shared, "I will focus highly on my studies, graduate with good grades, and start work. Then I will support my family and be a model for my community."
Zenash has been accepted into a 3-year diploma program in Marketing at Admas University. We believe post-secondary education will be a transformative and positive step in Zenash’s life, and are excited for this next chapter in her educational journey. Her sponsorship will cover tuition fees, school supplies, materials, and transportation costs needed to complete her program. This will empower Zenash to break the cycle of poverty by equipping her with the knowledge and skills for a brighter future.
