Rahimet is a charming and friendly girl with disabilities who loves her family, friends, and attending school.
Diagnosed with Diplegic Cerebral Palsy, Rahimet’s determination and optimism inspire everyone around her. Hope for Korah met Rahimet and her family last year through our partnership with Addis Guzo, an organization in Korah that supports individuals with physical and mental challenges. Raising a large family in Korah is incredibly difficult, and Rahimet’s family faced severe financial hardships. However, through HFK’s Economic Empowerment Program, her parents are now actively working to improve their circumstances through education and vocational training.
A bright and playful child, Rahimet enjoys learning and excels in Mathematics, thanks to her participation in after-school tutoring. With the encouragement of her family, friends, teachers, and physiotherapy staff at Addis Guzo, she has made remarkable progress in her mobility, growing stronger and more flexible every day.
Rahimet is currently in KG-2 at Miraf School, a private school which provides a higher standard of education, in smaller classrooms, with quality teaching and greater support from teachers. This Educational Sponsorship will cover tuition, uniform, textbooks, school supplies, after-school tutoring, youth activities, and Berta Breakfast every morning before school. In turn, this will help Rahimet break the cycle of poverty by empowering her mind and offering hope for a better future.
