Eman's Education

Eman is a calm and observant teenager with a love for books and a strong dedication to her studies.

The eldest of five siblings, including one with special needs, Eman has taken on significant responsibilities from a young age. Life in Korah has been incredibly challenging, and her family faced severe financial hardships when HFK first met them last year. However, through the Economic Empowerment Program, her parents are now actively working to improve their circumstances with the support of education and vocational training.

At 14 years old, Eman is a hardworking and responsible daughter who helps at home with cooking, cleaning, and caring for her younger siblings. Supporting her sister with disabilities has inspired her dream of becoming an osteologist! With Math as her favorite subject, Eman is committed to her studies and participates actively in HFK’s after-school tutorial program. She is often seen volunteering in her school library or engaging in thoughtful discussions with her friends at Girl’s Club.

Eman is entering Grade 7 at Gelan Furi Primary School, a private school which provides a higher standard of education, in smaller classrooms, with quality teaching and greater support from teachers. This Educational Sponsorship will cover tuition, uniform, textbooks, school supplies, after-school tutoring, youth activities, and Berta Breakfast every morning before school. In turn, this will help Eman break the cycle of poverty by empowering her mind and offering hope for a better future.
