Eldana's Education

Eldana is a spunky and outgoing 6-year-old who enjoys school and makes friends easily.

Her family recently joined Hope for Korah's Economic Empowerment Program, and we have already witnessed so many positive changes in their lives. Before, Eldana's mother was forced to take her and her younger brother out onto the streets all day as she went begging for rent money and a little food to eat. After experiencing such a humiliating lifestyle, Eldana's family is well on their way towards self-sufficiency and empowerment. Her parents have had the opportunity to take parenting workshops, attend individual and marriage counselling, and be enrolled in sewing classes. Eldana's younger brother attends the Hope for Korah daycare, receiving nutritious meals and positive social interaction with the other children.

Eldana has graduated from the HFK daycare and is now enrolled in KG-2 at Alfa Blen Academy, a private school which provides a higher standard of education, in smaller classrooms, with quality teaching and greater support from teachers. This Educational Sponsorship will cover tuition, uniform, textbooks, school supplies, special activities, and Berta Breakfast every morning before school. In turn, this will help Eldana break the cycle of poverty by empowering her mind and offering hope for a better future.
